Shortest Books Ever Written (Comic Relief Before the Upcoming Debate)

This post is to be entirely humorous, not taken seriously. I'm soon going to start posting the debate between Havok and I; but before I did that I wanted to show my readers I do have a sense of humor. Enjoy!

Nice - I take it you hold the opposite opinion... I could agree on some of them, not even I could write a book on the “merits of atheism”.

"the non-belief in gods... the end"

Not even a paragraph and very little merit :)

Oh, I hope you don't feel we have all jumped against you too strongly over at my place - we are just not use to theists paying us a visit so might have hit you all at once with our objections.

Sorry about that – on a different note, I have written a post about what it would take for someone to change their mind... more neutral territory that one. I wonder if you could make a comment about your own opinions.

Anyway, hope you feel you can come back anytime...

No I don't feel you've jumped against me too strongly. There are a lot of questions that have been brought up, so it's just taking me a while to determine how to address them. Don't worry about scaring me off, I think the reception has been quite friendly (especially since a lot of people will just hurl insults, theists and atheists alike; but you all seem interested in carrying on a legitimate discussion).

I'll be stopping by soon.

God bless!

Phew...

There are a lot of questions that have been brought up, so it's just taking me a while to determine how to address them.

Honestly and consistently.

Don't worry about scaring me off, I think the reception has been quite friendly (especially since a lot of people will just hurl insults, theists and atheists alike; but you all seem interested in carrying on a legitimate discussion).

I can only speak for myself, and yes – I want a legitimate discussion.

Sometimes the humour can get a little close to the bone sometimes by some (me included) – so you have been warned – some people don’t see how insulting Zeus is any different than insulting Jesus. However I know it certainly isn’t anyway to make friends... it certainly isn’t how I will argue.

But I have been told more than once that I have ‘insulted’ someone – the trouble here was that all I had done was to question someone’s belief which to me is not an insult on the person. So I don’t count this as insulting behaviour.

Sometimes the theist needs to lighten up when talking on atheist blogs... and maybe the atheist to have more understanding on certain matters when talking on theist blogs. I do try.

I also have seen (on certain atheist blogs anyway) a classic ‘chip on the shoulder’ from those who once were Christians and now don’t believe – they have gone through a lot and sometimes ‘strike out’ when hearing a sermon preached at them – I don’t like to see that but neither do I understand what they have been through. I’ve never believed as I have said.

Anyhow... onward and forward.

You would Jeremy.

Though I can't say anything about Matthew25.org because I've never been there, so that would be a pretty short book too.
